TRAINING & FACILITATION

Rooted in community engagement, and culturally sensitive mental health advocacy

I foster environments of empathy, growth, and psychological safety - where learning is collaborative, and every voice matters.

From frontline professionals, to community leaders - the learning is clinically-informed and grounded in real-world experiences.

Nafeesa’s strong clinical and ethical knowledge alongside her drive towards further training and development has enabled her to be an amazing and skilled counsellor, as well as a robust, inspiring and creative leader both as a clinical supervisor and service manager.

Her strong values around equality diversity and inclusion are always at the core of everything she does; particularly evident in her work with women, and also through delivering groups and workshops within the Asian community.

Polly Sangar, Lead Counselling Supervisor, TLC: Talk, Listen, Change

Why work with me?

I have developed and delivered tailored workshops and facilitation for diverse communities, including Muslim women, with a focus on issues such as depression, anxiety, and social isolation. My approach integrates clinical insight with cultural awareness, encouraging open dialogue and fostering safe, inclusive spaces.

I am proud to be a founding member of the People of Colour (POC) group at Talk, Listen, Change (TLC) and an active member of the South Asian Narratives Group (SANG) under BAATN (The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network). Through these platforms, I contribute to building resources and facilitating spaces that centre the voices and wellbeing of South Asian communities in therapeutic work.

  • Anti-Oppressive Practice

  • Racial & Cultural Sensitivity in Mental Health

  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

I have had the pleasure of working closely with Nafeesa over the past 2 years and she has been an invaluable asset to our college community, providing exceptional support to students.

Nafeesa has provided invaluable guidance, helping us to develop strategies that better support our students' mental health and emotional wellbeing. Her collaborative approach has fostered strong relationships, ensuring a holistic and supportive environment for all students.

Clinical Supervision

Using my 15+ years’ clinical experience, I offer Clinical Supervision to a range of professionals working in care, education and mental health. Including; therapists, social workers, domestic abuse professionals, key workers, EDI leads and those working in education and youth services.

Support roles can be deeply fulfilling, but also emotionally taxing. Burnout, overwhelm, and emotional fatigue are common, especially when working with complex needs.

My role is to support you and your teams, so you can continue to support others - sustainably and ethically.

Nafeesa supports not just the emotional processing, but also the clarity and rigour needed to hold strategic direction and relational complexity at the same time.

She is a wise advisor, a brilliant professional coach, a steady accountability partner and a source of deep encouragement. If you’re doing systems-focused, justice-led or anti-oppression work, I cannot recommend her enough.
